- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice (optional)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- Chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut chicken into even bite-sized pieces and pat dry. Season with black pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, and vinegar or lemon juice.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 4–6 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Pour sauce into the pan and stir to coat. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- (Optional) Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the skillet. Cook another 1–2 minutes until thickened.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve warm over rice, noodles, or salad.
Notes
This recipe is meal-prep friendly and works with chicken thighs too. To save time, prep the sauce in advance and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Leftovers make great wraps or rice bowls the next day.
